Kamryn is growing right before our eyes it seems! On Monday she turned 5 months old!
I joined a website when I was pregnant with Kamryn. It would send me weekly emails about the pregnancy, how big she was, what she could do, how shes developing inside. It was really cool. Now that she is here the same websites send me emails every month about how she should be developing, when teething starts, how often she should be napping, you know the basics. I really enjoy reading them.
As I was reading my monthly email Monday morning, I noticed Kamryn was slightly behind. I turned to Mike and said “I think we should start putting her on the floor more, it says babies usually roll over between 4 and 5 months.” Next thing we know not even 10 minutes later Kamryn rolls over from back to front!! It was like a switch flicked and she hasn’t stopped rolling back and forth since.
We took her to the doctors today, she is now 13 lbs. She did gain a pound over the month but she’s still falling off the percentile charts. So she is up to cereal 3 times a day and instead of rice cereal she will have oatmeal cereal. In the morning and night she will have a fruit with it and at lunch time a vegetable. Today we started her on green beans and she seemed to like them! Lets just hope she gets the hang of eating from the spoon soon, it would make gaining weight a whole lot easier!
“Kamma Lou” as Mike and I like to call her, is such a character! We are having so much fun with her. She loves to laugh, loves the sound of her own voice and absolutely loves Gretzky. He is such a good boy, even when she pulls his hair. (Good thing we got him a short haircut for the summer!) We are all enjoying our summer so far and cannot wait to see how much more she will grow over the coming months. Come fall we will probably she chasing her around.
