My Comfy Chair

Grammy (Mikes Mom) got Kamryn a cute new chair. At first she was unsure about it but now she loves it. Here are a few picture’s of her before bed on Sunday night.

Weekend Fun!

Kamryn had a very busy weekend. We had lots of visitors because everyone wanted to see our new home!

Friday night my cousins Jenn and Amy came over with Jenn’s children Ava, Jacen and Olivia. Mike had let a friend of ours borrow our camera so unfortunately I don’t have any pictures. But Kamryn had a great time! Ava is 5, Jacen is 3 and Olivia is only 3 weeks older than Kamryn. Kamryn kept giving Ava hugs and she thought Jacen was a riot! Kamryn is WILD and Olivia is a little shy so Kamryn had no idea why Olivia kept looking at her like she had 10 heads. But the kids all had a great time and were all completely wiped out by the time they went home.
Saturday I had a couple of my friends over, including Kamryn’s godmother Annie. Of course, Kamryn LOVED the company!

And Sunday my cousins Caitlin and Lauren came over with Caitlins daughter Brielle. Brielle is only 5 months older than Kamryn and they are finally at the age where they will interact and play with each other. They were giving eachother kisses. Brielle was calling “Kam!” It was too cute! My camera was charging for most of the time they were here because we had just gotten it back but I got a few cute pictures of them while they played out in the yard. At this point both of the girls were ready for a nap!

tired Kamryn…

I only got 2 pictures of the girls “together”. I’m sure Caitlin got some better ones.

Curb Appeal?

Our lawn is lacking in the curb appeal department. The house itself is cute as a button but the lawn is a whole other story. We found out at our closing that the woman we purchased this house from hasn’t lived here in 2 years!! Well the lawn shows that. Every time we came to see the house while in the process of buying the home there was snow on the ground. So we were not able to see what was in store for us underneath all that snow. There is A LOT of work to be done but I think my Dad, Zack and Mike are up to the challenge!

Kamryn likes to be our “helper” so of course she was right in all the action wondering if she could help. She did a great job at distracting everyone!

Kamryn lending a helping hand….
Here is our official before picture!
Give us a few years for the official after picture (just kidding!!) We are hopeful the lawn will bounce right back! Keep your fingers crossed for us!

Our New Home!!!

First of all, if any of you EVER need a real estate agent and are looking in the Plymouth area I highly recommend Bob DiMartino. Not only is he a family friend but he is AWESOME at what he does. We are so very happy we worked with him and if we ever move again he will be hired to sell our house and help us find our next home. He took us out ONCE and the second house we saw we both fell in love with.
Here is a little info on our house:
It needed some work (just a little TLC)..which is great because we want to make our house our own!
It has great bones and is unique, it has cathedral ceilings in both the living room and family room..which was exactly what we were looking for! We love high ceilings!
It had 4 bedrooms..which was a huge bonus. Not only do we have more than enough room for another baby in the future but a guest room too! All 4 are very good sized bedrooms too.
It is just under 2,000 sq ft…which is awesome! It’s a lot bigger than we expected for our first home.
It is on just under an acre of land..awesome!!! We have room to expand if we want!
Its in an awesome neighborhood that is super quiet with only one way in and one way out!
And most importantly a fenced in yard…a MUST for both Kamryn and Gretzky!
Don’t let me forget the price..we got a great deal on this house and are very happy about that!
We have a lot of work to do but its all basically cosmetics and personal touches we want to put on the home. Oh, and we need to get enough furniture to fill the place…its going to be pretty much empty for a little bit! But we are sure sooner rather than later it will all come together and it will be a very happy home.
Moving day is tomorrow and thankfully we have some great family and friends who have volunteered to help us! Thanks guys!!
I will post more pictures as time goes on and hopefully lots of before and after pictures!!
