37 Weeks

Gender: Baby Girl
Weight gain: 17 lbs
Maternity clothes: Yes
Belly button in or out: in
Sleep:  It’s really hard to fall asleep every night and I’m getting up to pee multiple times so yeah, there’s that.
Best moment this week:  We got the mamaroo and pack n play set up. I started packing our hospital bag with all the essentials and we’re pretty much ready to go. I’ve got all the arrangements for myself and the kids in place in case I go into labor. Luckily my sister is here so she can stay with the kids until my mom gets here and I’m so thankful for my neighbor who offered to drive me to the hospital if Mikes at work when I go into labor. He’s currently working minutes from the hospital so that’s super convenient.
Miss anything: Being able to bend over and breath at the same time. Sleeping on my stomach. Playing with my kids. Standing up and not having to pee EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. (just imagine how annoying that is for a second) It’s just hard to move these days and I can’t wait until I am more comfortable.
Movement: Yes! She’s sitting really low so it’s beyond uncomfortable at this point. She moves a certain way and I feel a lot of pressure. Totally normal for a third pregnancy, or so I’m told!😉
Cravings: Not really….I know, I know…I’m boring.
Queasy or sick: Nope, still just heartburn, lower back pain and lots of contractions. Nothing consistent so just an annoyance at this point but they are definitely getting more intense and painful.
Looking forward to: Meeting this sweet baby! At my appointment on Wednesday (at 36 weeks) my Dr said she thinks I’ll have her sometime within in the next 2 weeks and if not we’re going to induce at 39 weeks! So…that means, in just around 2 weeks this baby will be here! So exciting!! I’m slightly terrified of life with 3 kids. We may never leave our house again, but that’s okay! ;-)

I keep getting this strange feeling I’m missing something. But if there’s anything I know through experience it’s that it’s super easy to send your husband to the store to grab anything you may have forgotten after baby gets here. I think we’ve got the essentials though! :-)

Hopefully my next update is us introducing you to this baby!!

34 Weeks

There she is! Our beautiful, squishy newborn of yummy goodness!! She already has a full head of hair that we saw swaying around in the ultrasound! We cannot wait to meet her!!
Forgive the shadow on half of her face …. baby girl is squished in there so it was hard to get a good pic. But Mike and I saw all her features during our ultrasound and boy oh boy did we fall ever so in love with her…..more than before!
How far along: 34 weeks
Gender: G I R L
Weight gain: 15 lbs
Maternity clothes: Yes
Belly button in or out: in
Sleep:  TERRIBLE! I’m so uncomfortable!
Best moment this week:  We had a little scare. When I went to my appt on Wednesday my belly measured at only 30 weeks and I hadn’t put on any weight in the past couple of weeks. I’ve been having quite a few contractions so my doctor checked me. Luckily, I’m not dilated at all….its too early for that. But she also had me get an ultrasound to make sure the baby is growing correctly and that the fluid levels are good! Thank God she’s measuring right on track at 5 lbs 6 oz and she has plenty of fluid in there! Such a relief!
Miss anything: Honestly, I’m ready to just be Kristen again. Not pregnant Kristen. I’m so exhausted, super uncomfortable and these contractions wont quit. We have 5-6 weeks until she gets here and I’m really looking forward to that!
Movement: Yes! We found out in the ultrasound that baby is head down but her feet are up by her head. So, when she moves/kicks I feel A LOT of pressure! She’s squished into this little ball at the bottom of my belly…its really REALLY uncomfortable!
Cravings: No
Queasy or sick: I had a terrible cold this past week and an awful cough for days after. I’m happy to be feeling better!
Looking forward to: Meeting this baby!!! We are so close! I can’t wait to see her sweet face in person and name her! I have this feeling I’m just going to know who she is when I see her and I’m really REALLY looking forward to that because naming her has been an adventure to say the least! ;-)
