Happy 5th Birthday Kamryn Alexis! 

It’s hard to believe its been 5 years since this little girl came into the world, making me a mom forever. I am so blessed to call her MINE! My daughter. My forever best friend. My little girl. My Kamryn! She’s the sweetest, funniest, most outgoing little girl I know. Her personality is off the charts!! She’s the best big sister to Logan and Kensie. Her dad and I are so proud of the young lady she is becoming right before our eyes. It’s been such a joy watching Kamryn grow and learn so much over the past 5 years….I can’t wait to see what she does next! She’s sure to take the world by storm!

New Years Resolutions

I just wrote down my New Years Resolutions and if I don’t document it somewhere I know I won’t do it. I need to hold myself accountable! So here goes…

1. Care less what people think about me and the decisions I make for my little family. 

(I have a tendency to worry about everyone else’s feelings and needs before my own and I always end up getting hurt in the process. At times I get sick over it. So enough is enough! It’s time to worry about me!)

2. Use Facebook and all social media less! Put the phone down more and text less! 

(I did this for lent 3 years ago and I felt so refreshed! I think it’s time to make it a permanent change in my life.)

3. Live a much more care free happy life!

(This last one goes hand in hand with numbers 1 and 2 but it’s a must. Like the old saying goes “If mama ain’t happy, ain’t nobody happy”. I need to do this for my husband and my kids. They come first and they deserve it!)

It’s time to make a major change. I’ve cried to my husband way too many times over how others make me feel. The only person in charge of my own happiness is me! I’m ready to make a change in 2015!

(Fun fact: Mike and I found out I was pregnant just a few days later!)

We had a little scare and thought Logan had some food allergies, mainly peanut butter, but found out he is allergy free!! WOO HOO!

& Mike makes a career change and leaves Verizon after 7 years and joins the Electricians Union

We spend a lot of time outside, enjoying the rest of summer!

My belly continues to grow and we continue to struggle over picking a name for this baby!

Back to School for Kamryn

We have a little bit of a scare with the baby and they worried about her size. After a few ultrasounds we were reassured she was as healthy as can be!

Halloween 2014 was the BEST Halloween yet!

November

I give birth to a 6 lb 12 oz baby of perfection, who we name Elliot….

& then 2 weeks later, we change her name to Kensington

And we finish off the year on New Years Eve with Kamryn’s 5th Birthday!!

It’s been a pretty incredible year. There were a lot of ups and a lot of downs. I had some hard days and some days that were the best of my life. 

Two of the biggest life changing moments that happened this year were, Mike changing careers, which is huge! Its a bit of a struggle financially right now but the pay off will be so worth it. And of course, our newest addition. My heart grew yet again with the birth of Miss Kensington Bree. She truly does complete our family. 

Looking back on our year I am reminded how blessed we are! We live a great life and have so much to be grateful for. I am looking forward to another great year in 2015!

Kensington Bree at 1 Month

Can you believe a month (actually 6 weeks) has passed since Kensington was born? Time is flying by! I don’t think the holidays help much. This time of year is so so busy. 

Kensie is seriously my easiest baby yet. I know I said it before but she just seems to keep getting easier. She barely ever cries…like EVER! She loves to sleep! At night, since she was 2 weeks old, she’s been sleeping for 6 hour stretches. For awhile I had to wake her up to feed her but now she’s gaining weight consistently so I can let her sleep. The other night she slept from 8pm-5am! I don’t mean to brag, but I have to….she’s incredible! She looks just like Kamryn! Which is strange because majority of people also say she looks just like me but when Kamryn was a baby everyone said she looked like Mike. Genetics are funny like that. It’ll be interesting to see how she changes in the coming months.

Kamryn and Logan are still completely smitten with her. Today Kamryn told me “I just love Kensington! She’s so cute and sweet! She’s my favorite baby in the world!” Melt my heart!!! Logan calls her “Zensie” and is always giving her loves and kisses on the head. We are so beyond blessed. All the kids are doing fabulous and Kensington just goes with the flow! We are loving being a family of 5!!

Kensington now weighs 7 lbs 14 oz
