It’s taken me a few days to get this post up but better late than never, right? Right!
This past weekend we celebrated our sweet Kensington. It was a great day and we were surrounded by family and friends who all loved on and spoiled our little girl rotten.
I thought I would share a few things about Kensington:
1. She is OBSESSED with her Daddy. All day long it’s “dada!” ((he’s equally as obsessed with her))
2. She loves to say hi, wave to people and say “muuuuaaaahhh” SO CUTE!
3. She used to be a terrible sleeper but recently has turned a corner. She’s sleeping 12+ hours a night and napping 2-3 hours in the afternoon.
4. Everyone goes back and forth on who Kensington looks like. Let me set everyone straight…she looks like her mama! I birthed her, I’m allowed to make the final call.
5. Logan is such a sweet and protective big brother when it comes to Kensington. If she cries he makes sure I help and if he can’t find her (like if I put her up for a nap and he doesn’t see) he panics. It’s so very sweet.
6. Kensington wants NOTHING to do with walking. If you stand her up and try to get her to walk she cries. She will scoot around her crib, the pack n play and the couch though. She even lets go on occasion…girly thinks she has me fooled!
7. She has 3 teeth. Two bottom teeth and one top tooth.
8. Kensington is by far my easiest baby. Actually, she reminds me a lot of Kamryn. But back when I had Kamryn I had nothing to compare it to. This time…I know to be thankful. Not all babies are this easy going!
9. In just 4 months Kensington will be a big sister. HOLY MOLY! Such a little girl and such big shoes to fill. I think she’s going to rock it!
10. She’s the sweetest thing. She loves to cuddle and when she does lets out the cutest “awe”.
11. Her sister and I love us some bows. Kensington isn’t a fan. They last all of 6.5 seconds and she rips them off. This mama hates it!! Just being honest…someday she’ll appreciate them, I’m sure!
I can’t wait to see how much she grows and learns in the coming year. 1 to 2 is big! And I don’t want to rush it, but I know how quickly the days fly by. This first year has been absolutely amazing.
Happy 1st Birthday Kensington Bree!! We love you so.
