Life Lately

On one hand I feel like we've been crazy busy and then on the other I feel like we've been being lazy and soaking up these warm summer days. It's all a giant blur! But doesn't that mean we're doing summer right? I think so...

The kids are full of energy and loving these low key lazy days at home. They are in and out of the house no less than 6,000 times a day. Playing, bickering, laughing and yes, even crying sometimes. Ahhhh siblings. I'm really lucky because all 4 of them are really close. Kamryn and Logan are so sweet with the little ones. All 4 of them play together all the time which is so much fun! I always dreamed of a big family and part of that was my kids being the best of friends. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED.

The other day Kamryn asked that all 3 girls wear pigtails. I mean, how cute?!?

My baby. Tenley James. Oh how I could just eat her up.
She's the sweetest, happiest, prettiest, cutest, funniest little baby around!
She has the funniest laugh that is so contagious. She's the best and has our whole family STILL just smitten with her.

The swing set is ALMOST complete! Mike just needs to add the dormers, chimney (yes the swing set has a chimney and dormers), tic tac toe, ships wheel and spy glass. Phew! What a project!

Eventually (hopefully sooner than later) we are going to get some railroad ties and wood chips and make this a designated spot for the swing set. Right now its dirt and SO messy! I'm being as patient as I can but I can't wait until it's done and looks the way I envision it in my head.

Kamryn and Logan have been so spoiled this weekend! Ice cream from the ice cream truck AND sparklers! Isn't that what childhood is all about?! The ice cream truck drives by our house almost every single night RIGHT at dinner time. It drives me bonkers! Kamryn and Logan have been so understanding when I tell them I don't have cash on me...seriously, those guys need to start taking debit cards because who carries cash on them these days?! But this night we collected some change and grabbed them a couple ice creams. So exciting!!

Mike found some sparklers the other night that we had left over from last year. So. Much. Fun.

Kensington is a gem. She really is. She's one happy goofy girl. But she has a temper and can do a mean pout when she doesn't get her way. Here she is pouting because I wouldn't get her have a cookie for breakfast.... Such a mean mom!

That's it for life lately. I hope you're all enjoying your summer so far.

4th of July Fashion

Happy Monday!!

Today I'm talking 4th of July fashion for your entire family.

4th of July is like Christmas to my family. We LOVE it! Always have...always will!
I swear March hits and I'm already thinking about what I'm going to dress my family in. So, since this blog is about all things Kristen I thought I'd give you some idea's on what to dress your family in for the 4th.

4th of July is pretty simple. RED, WHITE & BLUE. You can't mess this up. There's no need for matching dresses or shirts because you're all color coordinated. Think 1995 when we all wore the Old Navy 4th of July tee's. HA! That's just NOT my thing! I love to mix and match.

Here are some idea's...

For myself, I need to be comfortable. I'll be chasing around kids all day. I'd love to wear a cute dress but I'll definitely be bending down too much for that so shorts and a t-shirt it is.

FLAG TANK: HERE

RED TANK: HERE

You could pair both of these with a cute pair of denim shorts.
Both these tops easily work for teen's, too. I know Lexi would wear both.

As for Mike, he isn't really picky so I usually can put him in whatever I want. LOL!

RED, WHITE & BLUE TANK: HERE

It's usually insanely hot on the 4th and we spend every second of the day outside. Literally from 9am until after that last firework goes off we are outside! Therefore, Mike usually like's to wear a tank top.

My girls LOVE dresses. Especially Kamryn. Girlfriend does not want to leave the house unless she is in a dress. I see her already passing this onto Kensington and I'm sure Tenley will be there soon, too.

For Kamryn she'll be wearing this dress:

KAMRYN DRESS: HERE

It's adorable and she can wear it again! WIN WIN!

Kensington's dress is sold out but I found one similar that's also adorable.

KENSINGTON DRESS: HERE

Tenley's outfit is also sold out but this is definitely a dress I could see her in..

TENLEY DRESS: HERE

Again, definitely something she could wear again and again. I'd pair it with a navy bow.

As for Logan, I keep it simple. Shorts and a t-shirt.
Unfortunately, the shirt he is wearing is sold out too...but I found this cute one that would defintiely work.

LOGAN SHIRT: HERE

I'd pair this with some khaki or navy blue shorts.

Here's Logan, Kensington & Tenley on Flag Day. Obviously, these outfits could all work for the 4th as well. I'll probably bring along Logan's flag tank for something a little lighter for him to wear mid-day if he get's too hot.

Don't think you need flags, stars and stripes on everyone. I'm all for it on one or two kids but just red, white and blue works too. Have fun with it! Mix patterns! Have everyone in the family dress in our countries colors!

You still have time to get your family ready for the 4th! Everything I linked up here is from either Gap or Old Navy.

I don't know about you but I LOVE seeing pictures of everyone's families and kids on the 4th. I can't wait to see your's! I can't believe the 4th is a week from tomorrow! Everyone be safe and have fun!!

Have a great day!!

xoxo, Kristen

Summer is HERE!!

It's the first official day of SUMMER! WOO HOO!

Kamryn's last day of school was Monday. So that made yesterday our first official day of summer.

Here's our girl on her first day and last day.
Goodbye first grade -- Hello second grade!

We are so proud of her and how amazingly she did in first grade this year. At the beginning of the year Kamryn had some catching up to do. With our report cards you can get P's, M's and E's. The P's mean that your child is progressing towards the level that should be at,  the M's mean they are meeting that level and E's mean they are exceeding. At the beginning of the year she had a few P's. Mostly in reading. Which was okay....we knew she was behind with reading but knew what needed to be done for her to catch up. But now she has all M's and some E's! We couldn't be more proud! I wanted to share a little but of what Kamryn's teacher said about her on her report card. "I am very impressed with the accomplishments Kamryn has made this year, especially in reading. Her hard work and determination has served her well." How awesome for our girl! Way to go Kamryn!!! The best part is how proud she is of herself. Her confidence has skyrocketed and that just makes my mama heart soar.

We're two days in to this summer vacation thing and I'm already exhausted! HA! I'm hopeful the kids will chill out a bit and get into a new routine. Fingers crossed! So much bickering, so many "I'm hungrys", "I need a drink", "I'm too hot"....etc etc. ::sigh:: Patience Patience Patience. I've got this!

All kidding aside, I am thrilled to have all my kids home with me. We've got a lot of fun stuff planned. It's going to be a great summer, I just know it!

Happy Summer Y'all!

HelloFresh Review ::Krumbs Tries::

I am SO excited because today I am teaming up with HelloFresh

Make sure you stick around because I have some AWESOME deals to share with first time customers at the end of this post!!

When I got the opportunity to work with this company I jumped at it. I've always wanted to try HelloFresh and for whatever reason kept forgetting to actually take the time and place the order. Let me tell you, I won't be forgetting again! This was our first box but definitely not our last!! I'm a busy mom of 4 and I try really hard to meal plan but sometimes I find myself too busy to even sit down and actually write out a plan. Giving my kids a healthy well balanced dinner is always high on my priority list but again, sometimes we end up making whatever is quickest and easiest that night. This happens for many reasons, I don't have time to go to the store, I don't have the recipe right in front of me, I convince myself it'll take too long. The list goes on and on and on.... HelloFresh takes all of the guess work out of this for us. It's all right in front of you leaving you with NO excuses! With just a click of your mouse you get great meals delivered right to your doorstep!

On Tuesday afternoon our box showed up at our house with 3 meals ready to be prepped and cooked with my family. We chose the Family Plan which feeds two adults and two children, however this was more than enough for my whole family since Kensington and Tenley are still so small. We even had leftovers! I had no idea what we were getting for meals so this was particularly exciting for us.

I opened the box to find 3 recipe cards that were beautiful. All the cards have pictures and great detailed instructions on how to prep and cook your meals. Our meals for the week were: "One-Pan Chicken Alfredo", "Very Teriyaki Pork Tenderloin", and "Italian Ciabatta Cheeseburgers". YUM!!! We also got another card with all the nutritional info for all three meals, as well. HelloFresh was also kind enough to gift me with an apron as well. :)

Under the recipe cards is a insulated cooler bag filled with 3 boxes that separate your meals with all the ingredients you need and the meats were stored at the bottom under some ice. All of our food was great and fresh! If you ever have an issue and are unsatisfied with the quality of your food just send HelloFresh an email...they have AMAZING customer service! They will be happy to fix any problem you have for you.

I honestly, could not believe the quality of the meats and produce. Everything was top notch and EXACTLY what I would be buying at the grocery store anyways. The Family Plan is only $8.74 a meal. YES A MEAL! I can promise you, I could never feed my family a meal at that price if I went to the grocery store and walk out with all of this. I'm not sure how this would work with a smaller family or a couple, but for us it's a no brainer! They also have a Classic Plan and a Veggie Plan, as well. All plans can feed anywhere from 2 to 4 people and provide you with 3 to 8 meals, depending on what you choose.

We took these pictures on the night we made the One-Pan Chicken Alfredo. It was a hit with the entire family! Looking at these meals can be a bit intimidating but they break everything down into simple directions, making it impossible to mess up! I am always up for trying and cooking new meals and seeing how far my little kitchen can actually go. Our kitchen is nothing fancy, as you can see. If you are wanting to broaden your horizons in the kitchen, then definitely give this a try! I think it's a great way to get you making meals you probably would never try yourself otherwise. For example, the "Very Teriyaki Pork"...I can promise you, I never would've made that on my own....but we LOVED it! I'm so happy it was sent to my door. If you're anything like me you pin hundreds of recipes on Pinterest telling yourself you'll make them someday. But then you go to the grocery store and just buy your usual stuff. This gave me that push to actually try something new! When all was said and done we had delicious seasonal meals on our table that weren't hard at all to make!

I think HelloFresh could work for anyone and everyone. I really do. It makes life so much simpler. That's what Kris Krumbs & Co is all about --- simplicity!

I have two REALLY GREAT links for you that my new friends at HelloFresh provided me with to share with my readers (valid for new customers only)...

If you want 50% Off your first box you can click HERE

My New GO TO Planner

HEYYYYY!!!
It's Thursday!!! My FAVORITE day of the week!!

Today we are going to talk about my new planner which I am currently OBSESSED with!

Having a big family I have quickly realized how easily you can become disorganized. By nature I am not the most organized person...it's more like organized chaos! I can't tell you how many times Mike and I think we are on the same page about what's happening on what day and then we're totally NOT. Or I'll wake up and tell myself I need to do this this that and this and at the end of the day I didn't get any of it done. I needed some help.

I'm old school. I just can't get used to putting things in my phone. I need it written out and in front of me. For some reason writing it out makes me remember it more. I love lists. LOVE them! I think I get this from my dad. I have fond memories of watching him on his day off. He'd write his list of to-do's first thing in the morning and as the day went on and he got them done he would cross them off. I remember the look of accomplishment on his face at the end of the day when he did them all. He always crossed that last item off and threw the paper away. I know he still does this I'm just not at home to see it. I too write lists ALL THE TIME.

I wanted somewhere to write these lists down in a more of an organized way than a scrap piece of paper. I knew I also needed something to write all of our appointments in and what everyone was up to. I needed something that could help me meal plan, remind me to water the flowers (bc I never do!), and also give me space to write down appointments and what Mike and I, the kids and Lexi were up to. I call myself the Sass Family CEO because really, I am the one keeping track of everyone! I was searching high and low for a planner that wouldn't break the bank and was cute. Because, isn't everything better when it's pretty?

From a simple Amazon search I cam upon the bloom daily planners.
I guess this one is technically a "to-do pad" but you'll see it's so much more!

This was EXACTLY what I needed!

First of all, how cute, right??

Here is an example of my day last Friday. A pretty mellow day but just an example of how I write out my days.

You write in the date so you can start at any time.

Each page has spots for me to put in my "must do today!" list. This day I knew I NEEDED to pick up the shoes I had shipped to Target and NEEDED to water my flowers. But my Isagenix email and facebook post weren't a NEED and could wait if I didn't get to them. So those went under the "other to-do's" list. I love that I can prioritize my to-dos. A LIST MAKERS DREAM!

My bloom planner keeps me accountable. It reminds me to exercise, drink 8 glasses of water a day and truthfully I want to look back and see I ate healthy so it keeps me on track with my Isagenix plan as well. (more on that later...)

I have a spot to write down what I need to grab at the store. Our little Tenley drinks lactose free milk and on this day we needed to grab some of that.

Each page it's own little spot for appointments and important times. Lucky me, I had a hair appointment that night! :) Ahhhhh 3 hours of no one needing me for anything!

And the BEST part of all is the "today I'm grateful for" section on every page. I am all about gratitude and even keep a gratitude journal. On this day I was TIRED so yes, I was thankful for coffee. But the day before I was thankful for my family and the day after I was thankful for the person who gave me a coupon at the grocery store. Just something little that made my day better.

I'm a sucker for a good inspirational quote and this planner has one on the inside cover and one on the back.

It also has a spot for me to write my name, my phone number and my email address just in case I misplace it and someone else finds it.

This planner only cost me $14 and it comes in 3 really cute patterns.

They also make the academic year planner, that goes from September-July. These are great for high school girls but I also think these would be great for moms to keep organized during the school year, as well.

Who doesn't need a little more organization in their life?!?!
Do you have a planner that you use and LOVE or are you a smartphone girl?

Have a great day!!!

Flag Day 2017

I wasn't able to get them all up and dressed by the time Kamryn went to school, so today we have two pictures. But don't they look sweet in their red, white and blue? Kamryn even let me put a bow in her hair!!

Boy//Girl Shared Room

Hi everybody!!

First of all, I just want to take a minute to thank those of you who come here and read what I write. It means so SO much to me!! I see the numbers, I know quite a few of you are here reading and I really cannot put into words how awesome that is. I'm working on a few new collaborations and because you keep coming back that makes it all possible. It really is a dream come true to have this blog really turning into something that I can do everyday and be proud of. So again, THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart!!

Please please comment! Let me know you're here!! I really would love that!

Today I'm going to talk siblings sharing rooms.

Our plan was to have 3 kids. We bought a house with 4 bedrooms because we knew all of our kids were going to be able to have their own rooms. Well, then life happened and before we knew it Lexi was living with us and I was pregnant with our fourth baby, Tenley. So, out the window went the idea of every kid having their own room.

At first our plan was obviously, Mike and I in our room, Logan takes bedroom number two, Lexi takes bedroom number three, and Kamryn, Kensington and Tenley would share bedroom number four. Bedroom number four is really big. It used to be a loft that the previous owners enclosed to make a bedroom. It takes up half of our house.

We quickly realized our "genius" plan was not going to work. Kamryn is 7 and Kensington & Tenley are 2 and 1. Kensington and Tenley go to bed at least an hour and a half before Kamryn. We hoped Kamryn could just sneak in the room without waking the girls up but this never happened. She kept waking them up...EVERY. TIME. You know how that goes, once a toddler is up...it'll be hours before they go to sleep again. So, after a lot of tears -- from all 3 girls, we decided we needed to switch things up.

THE NEW PLAN

Kamryn and Logan now needed to share a room temporarily until Lexi goes to college. Then Kamryn will jump over to what is now Lexi's room and that'll be her room. We have approximately 1 year, 3 months, 4 days, 18 hours and 7 minutes (just kidding.....) until that happens. We were at a loss, we had no idea what else we could do. Lexi is a teenager and like most teenagers she's up on her phone or doing her homework night after night. There was no way her and Kam could share a room so our only option was to have Kamryn and Logan in the same room. Short of adding an addition on our house...which we don't need.

I need some advice on how to make their room both girly and boyish so they both love their space.

We're definitely doing bunk beds. Kamryn has already called the top bunk and Logan is more than thrilled to get the bottom bunk. This will work out great because even when Lexi is away at college she'll still be coming home for winter and summer break. At that point we're going to let her use Kamryn's room and have Kam go back to the top bunk.

Okay....I need idea's! I've been pinteresting like a mad woman!

Here are some idea's I found...

I'm thinking going with navy blue and some greys and then girly touches for Kamryn's space and boyish touches for Logan's.

Have any of you done a boy/girl shared room before??

Please Please PLEASE comment and let me know your tricks and tips!!!

Everyday Summer Style ... Krumbs Style

It's Monday and it's cloudy and raining on and off --- how fitting. It really is a blah Monday. Somehow I hurt my neck this weekend, I'm in a fairly decent amount of pain and so stiff. UGH! This does not pan out well for a busy stay at home mom. But since my kids are THE BEST --- Today they all slept until after 8. Yep, all four of them! I actually had to wake Kamryn up and basically drag her around the house to get her ready for school. The Sasses are beyond ready for summer. Bring on the lazy days!! We're SO ready!!

Kamryn gets out of school two weeks from today!!!
We Cannot Wait!!!!

Okay ladies, today I'm talking summer clothes for you! We did SHOES now let's talk clothes!

I'm going to talk what I wear and then give some other suggestions if what I'm sharing isn't quite your style.

I took some pictures of a few outfits that I wear on repeat all summer long. You'll see those as you scroll through to give you some idea's on how to put together the looks I'm talking about. I've linked up the items in the pictures right below the pictures too. Unfortunately, some of the items are sold out but I made sure to link up something similar.

In the summer I live in shorts, a tee (almost always striped) and a nuetral sandal.
I know what I like and what I feel best in so I just stick to it.

Yep, that pretty much sums it up! You'll see these things on repeat on me all summer long.

Let's get going..

SHORTS

As for short length,  I am not very tall, okay I'm short, only 5'3, so I have found after trying a variety of styles...hello Bermuda shorts (eeerrr, what was I thinking?!?), short shorts look better on me. They just makes my not so long legs appear longer. So, I stick with those. I don't know, I very well may be 70 and still rocking the short shorts. HA!

Just a few of my rules for shorts:
Buy something with some stretch. Shorts aren't meant to be restrictive. In my opinion tight shorts aren't flattering and/or comfortable.
You need a good pair of denim shorts that will last you year after year.
Colored shorts are a great way to make a dull outfit fun!
Patterns are always fun if you're wearing a plain shirt.

Okay, first let's talk DENIM SHORTS.

I've been wearing these on repeat lately. I have a serious love affair with distressed denim shorts. But the good ones are usually REALLY expensive. This pair has such a cute fit, they aren't too bad price wise and are just the right length. I find myself grabbing them again and again. For some reason they look really light on the Nordstrom website but in person they are a darker. This was a pleasant surprise, for me.

Quick tip: Don't be fooled into thinking everything at a store like Nordstrom is super expensive. I have so many t-shirts, shorts and sandals from there and none of them have broken the bank.

Shorts: HERE
Sandals: HERE
Tee: HERE

These are cute too and a little cheaper of an option. Here are some that are a little longer. Shorts like this are something you will be reaching for again and again. Sometimes distressed denim isn't right for the occasion and you need a plain pair. These are a great option for that. In my opinion, dark denim will never go out of style.

Now onto CHINOS.

or khaki shorts...whatever you'd like to call them

Now, if you ask me, every girl needs a white pair of shorts.

I find myself year after year going to Old Navy for these. I have them in a number of colors.
JCrew also has really great one's as well and when they are on sale are a great buy!!

Shorts: HERE
Flowy Tank: HERE
(Similar) Sandals: HERE
(Similar) Jacket: HERE

Great price, great quality and super comfy. We'll get to those in a second for now, back to white...you can't go wrong with these. You can dress them up, dress them down, whatever you like. These are a must have! They come in a number of lengths. Anywhere from 3.5" to 9" inseams. Something for everyone!

Like I said I have these Old Navy chinos in a number of colors. I have white, yellow, royal blue, pink, red, green, black and some with patterns on them. I have collected these over the years and always buy them when they are on sale! You can wear these with nicer sandals and a cute dressy top, flip flops and a t-shirt and even really dress them up with some wedges and they always look great! I can't stress enough how much I LOVE LOVE LOVE these shorts!! They really do work for everyone. I've gifted my mom with a few of these and they look great on her too! Remember they come in a few different lengths 2.5" all the way to 9" inseams.

Shorts: HERE
(similar) Tee: HERE
Sandals: HERE

Sometimes I like a short with a little embroidery on them. I know my mom especially, is a huge fan of shorts (and skirts) like this. Just pop on a plain t-shirt and you're good to go.

And TOPS....

My only rules for tops are find what you are comfortable in and just stick with it! I tend to like something with a little big of bagginess to it, but in a flattering way so I don't look heavier than I am, I just lost some weight and this year I don't want to hide that. I also, stay away from anything low cut. I'm constantly bending over to pick up toddlers so low cut just won't do. I always always wear a plain white camisole under my tops. I've been doing this for YEARS and I don't think I'll ever stop.

STRIPES

You knew it was coming....

If you know me, or my sister, you know we love love LOVE stripes. You can't go wrong with a good striped shirt. I just think they can take a simple casual outfit and give it a little something. All summer long you'll see me in tee's like this. I find myself buying shirt after shirt in different colored stripes. I say I love them but its more like an addiction. I'm OBSESSED. Sometimes I'll wear a stripe tank, and sometimes I throw a long sleeve stripe tee on with shorts too, depending on the weather. There's nothing better than a striped tee, in my opinion. They can go with the chinos and a denim short. WIN WIN!

Flower print top: HERE
(The navy one is from last year)

FLOWY TANKS

I also love a good flowy tank for nights out. This off the shoulder is adorable! Can't you see it with a colorful pair of the chinos?!?! Or maybe the black one with a great pair of white skinny jeans. I love this swing cami as well and it comes in some really cute colors. If you're looking for some patterns I think this one is super cute (I love the tie straps) and I found another option here. If you're looking for something classic, look no further, this is one that'll work time and time again.

Shorts: HERE
Tee: HERE
Sandals: HERE

I also love a good GRAPHIC TEE.

These are what I wear most days when I'm just hanging at home with the kids. I think shirts with cute sayings on them are fun. This shirt could not be more Kristen....have I told you how much I LOVE Texas?!? And while I'm at it, how cute is this one for 4th of July?!

Graphic tee's go great with denim shorts. ALWAYS. Is there anything better than a graphic tee, jean shorts and sandals? I think not!

DRESSES

I love a good summer dress.

LOVE them! I don't wear dresses often, usually just when I have a special occasion. But really, they are so comfy if you get the right style. If it's a tad chilly I throw my jean jacket over it and I'm good to go.

I hope that helped give you a few idea's of summer outfit idea's. I tend to keep it pretty casual. That's what my lifestyle calls for these days. I'd love to know if you think I've missed some everyday summer clothes that you think are a MUST HAVE. Comment and let me know!

Have a great day!! xoxo

Heyy Heyy Friday!!!

FRIDAY!!! FRIDAY!!! FRIDAY!!!

Ahhhhh....I don't know about you but I am thrilled it's Friday.

Today is just one of those days that feels good. You know the days I'm talking about, right? No one woke me up at the crack of dawn, so I got a great nights sleep last night. My kids (so far) have been super well behaved. The weather is PERFECT!!! 70 and not a cloud in the sky! It does NOT get better than this. And HELLO?!?! It's National Donut Day.

Clearly, Logan and I are taking this VERY seriously!!

Yesterday, Mike and I attended Kamryn's class "Animal Museum". It was very cute and Kamryn did a great job! The animal she choose to research was the kangaroo.

She wrote a report, made a kangaroo sculpture and painted a great painting of a kangaroo as well. This was all done at school so a great surprise for Mike and I. I didn't even know what animal she chose. But was not surprised in the least when I saw she choose a kangaroo. It does start with a K after all....

She was thrilled to have both of us there. They even had juice and animal crackers (how fitting) set out for the parents, as well. Kamryn was just on cloud 9! Best part was we got to dismiss her and bring her home with us early!!

First grade really was a game changer for Kamryn. She can now read with ease, write full sentences, has mastered capitals, lowercase and punctuation, she has super neat handwriting and she can do math like nobody's business. But best of all Kamryn is as kind and caring as they come. We met a bunch of teachers who work with Kamryn's class throughout the year and every single one of them couldn't of possibly given her more praises. We are just so incredibly proud!

I'm off to get some much needed fresh air with Logan, Kensington and Tenley!

I hope you all have the BEST weekend!

Life Lately

The Sasses are getting ready for SUMMER!!

The weather here has been blah! I can't even tell you how many times it's rained in the past month and if I really think about it, I think it's rained more than it's been sunny. The saying "April showers bring May flowers" isn't right. It's more like "May showers bring June flowers". Uhhhh....can you say global warming? Moving on....

The school year for Kamryn is winding down. I just got a little note yesterday that she won't be having anymore homework for the year (YIPPEE!!), she has a field trip to the zoo next week, field day is coming up, end of the year parties...all that good stuff! This afternoon Mike and I are going to her school to attend her class Animal Museum. Can't wait! Kamryn has grown so much this year and is maturing right before my eyes. I am so proud of the sweet, kind, caring, happy little big girl that she is.

I can't believe Kamryn is about to be in the 2nd grade. Time is just flying by! I have a really hard time with my kids getting older. I never wish away the days, I never want them to grow, I really truly wish they could be babies forever. (Probably why I have so many kids and would have another in a heartbeat) If not babies, at least little kids. I am loving this season of my life. It's hard most days and I lose my patience more than I'd like to admit but when I put my head on my pillow at night I realize I am truly the happiest I've ever been. Life isn't perfect, it's far from it actually. I have more stress than EVER but deep down in my core I'm so SO happy.

Logan is getting ready for kindergarten. I got another notice from the school with all our important dates coming up, including kinder orientation in August. I can hardly believe it! Logan in KINDERGARTEN. As you may or may not know, we didn't do preschool with Logan. There are a lot of reasons why but leading up to this Spring I wasn't sure if he would be ready to attend kindergarten in the Fall. I told myself we would register him and see how he did at his screening. If he didn't do well at his screening we would pull him out. Well, guys he rocked his screening. Not a single critique from the woman who tested him. I quickly realized I wasn't giving Logan enough credit. It was all my MY head. Don't we do that as moms more than we'd like to admit? I was being overprotective and not seeing how ready he really is. I'm hopeful he'll get in the groove of a school routine rather quickly. Logan is a really smart kid and sucks up all the knowledge you throw at him like a sponge. He's going to do great! And hey, if he doesn't he'll just do kindergarten twice....no harm in that. Ready or not (I'm not) kindergarten here we come!!

Uncle Zacky graduated with his Associates Degree from Bay State College. One degree down two more to go! He's got so much on his plate already and took on yet another challenge. We are so proud of him!!

I've really got to start taking more pictures. That's what writing this post has taught me. That, and I need a new phone. The camera is lacking...something!

Kensington and Tenley are growing SO fast. They really are best little friends and it is so much fun to watch them together. I just pray their relationship continues to grow and they are always just as close as they are now. Two of my favorite times of the day are nap time and bed time. Just listening to those giggles coming from their room is THE BEST!! Mike and I know this is only the beginning we have many many years ahead of hearing giggles coming from that room. That makes my heart so happy!!

Lex had her prom and as you can see she looked absolutely gorgeous! She had a great time. Isn't her dress AH-MAY-ZING?!?!?!

Mom came home to visit, too. We didn't get too much time together but the time we did get was great! We miss our Mimi and can't wait until she can come visit again.

Well, that's life lately. Happy happy Thursday to you!!
