I feel like we've got a lot of catching up to do on here...
Today we are on day 6 of having one or two sick kids in the house. It all started Friday when Kamryn got off the bus looking white as a ghost and was burning up. It's been downhill since. Kam spent all weekend laid up on the couch and then as soon as she got over it, Logan started. 2 down, 2 to go. Logan is resting on the couch, same exact spot Kamryn was in, as I type this.
As for these two, 1st and 3rd grade are going awesome! They both absolutely love their teachers. Logan was having a hard time going to school at the beginning of the year. We decided to make a chart to hang on the wall in the kitchen and everyday he gets up, doesn't give me a hard time and gets on the bus he can come home and put a check on the chart. If he gets 5 checks he can get a special prize over the weekend. Yesterday and today he was out sick from school so we put an "S" and that is a pass. He'll still get his prize. Only time you can miss school is if you're sick with a fever and/or have a doctors appointment! So far this is working out great and both weeks he's chosen new minecraft mods (HA!) as his prize. Kamryn has a chart too, although she never gives me a hard time about school but there's no reason she shouldn't get a prize too!
Well, that's it for today's randomness. I'm off to open the windows, lysol the entire house and kick this sickness right out of here!

So, where do I begin? Well, lets go back to August shall we?
Back in August Lexi began her journey as a college student. We dropped her off 2.5 hours away at Franklin Pierce University, shed a lot of tears and thought we'd see her again in October. This weekend actually for Columbus Day weekend. But the distance was too much for Lexi, she developed severe separation anxiety and after just a week transferred to Curry College. Much closer, only an hour away now. It's been an adjustment and while I wouldn't say Lexi loves it, we are practicing what they call "tough love". She comes home every weekend and has picked up some shifts at her old job. I'm hopeful it get's easier for her but if you know Lexi, you know she's EXTREMELY stubborn.
So if you can send us some positive vibes and prayers that she can work through this anxiety, I'd so greatly appreciate it!
The little girls are doing great. Kensington is as sweet as ever. Seriously guys, all day she keeps us laughing and smiling. She's just so precious! I'm happy to report Kensington is finally started to cooperate with potty training and I'm hopeful this will be a new thing and diapers will be a thing of the past for her. She was so afraid to even try for so long that I didn't really push it but now she's seeing there is nothing to be afraid of and slowly but surely is getting the hang of it! Tenley is still our tornado and as wild as ever. Running away from me at any chance she can get. Yep, definitely ran down the street and around the corner the other day as I chased after her...barefoot. I should really do a blog post solely dedicated to Miss James' antics. She just broke one of our metal gates and slipped through the railings. Yes, yes she did. She is something else!! Lord, send me patience. And wine, lots of wine. She has her good moments too. She can be so sweet, loves to give hugs and kisses and is starting to repeat almost anything we say. But still stays pretty quiet for the most part. She's tiny but feisty!
Gammy came up for a visit! It's been a couple year since we saw Gammy last and we decided to surprise the kids. Kamryn and Logan's faces when she walked through the door were priceless! We had a fun weekend filled with lots of laughs, a trip to the zoo and all the food Gammy can't get down in Florida. (note to self, don't move if you ever want good pizza and Chinese food...not happening)
And last but certainly not least, on Sunday Pappi and Zacky ran a 5k. This was Zack's first ever 5k and Pappi's 2nd. They both placed 5th for their age groups. Zack came in 39th and Pappi came in 102 out of 400 racers total. Not too shabby!! Mike stayed home with Kamryn & Tenley - Kam was still sick and I brought Logan & Kensington along with me to cheer them on! We are so proud of our favorite runners!
