Amazon Finds

 

Hey guys! Happy Thursday!

I'm always finding and purchasing the most random things on Amazon. Yesterday I posted a selfie on my instagram story asking for summer meal ideas. (I'm in such a funk) and a few of you asked where my top was from. Well, wouldn't you know...AMAZON! Seriously, as a mom of 5 I do not know what I would do without Amazon Prime. I get EVERYTHING on there! So I got to thinking...why don't I share all the randomness I get on Amazon here on my blog? I like when things happen organically like that. So! Let's do it!! Today we'll touch on clothes, home decor and something you can use everyday!

First up being this shirt that some of you asked about!

Sorry, for the crappy screen shot...I am NOT a professional blogger by any means! Next time I'll try to get a better picture. But this is my instagram story from yesterday. (PS-I got a lot of great dinner ideas! One even being McDonalds. HA! Listen, I get it...you gotta do what you gotta do!)

This shirt comes in a bunch of colors, it's super soft, has adjustable straps and fits true to size. I haven't washed it yet so I can't comment on that quality when it comes to that but for the price (super affordable)..I think its worth it.

Next up would be my new curtains. I have these, in the color natural, in both my bedroom and now my living room. I'm a sucker for anything neutral and these are the perfect neutral curtains. They look a lot more expensive than they are! Truly I think they look like I got them at Pottery Barn but nope! I got them for a fraction of the price on Amazon! And they come in a 2 pack! Gotta love it!! I hate when you have to buy a single panel of a curtain! Anyone else? I also got both the curtain rods on Amazon as well. If you're interested, you can find the curtain rod in the living room here and the ones in our bedroom here. You won't believe the price of the bedroom ones!! I got the curtain clips (in the picture below) that are holding up the bedroom curtains at Target and I've linked them here for you! I just thought they added a little something but as you can see in the picture from my living room, totally no necessary. I like them both ways. And having the same curtains in 2 rooms, now they look a little different.

(Side note: You'll notice in the picture above of my living room, I raised the curtain rod up pretty high. That room has very high ceilings and I read somewhere that a designer said when you have high ceilings to raise the rods up like that and it brings the eye up to the tall ceilings and makes the room look even bigger and dresses things up. I really really like how they look! Glad I listened!)

And for fun! My new key ring!!

I love this thing! When juggling my kids, all their things, my coffee, phone, you know...all the STUFF! It makes holding on to my keys so easy! I just throw them on my wrist and go. Also make's it really easy to find my keys in my purse! This one is made of rubber so doesn't take up much room, which I love. I had a hard one before and like this one much better.

Okay, I think that's it for today. Don't want to overwhelm you. I could go on and on and on. But we'll save that for another day. Soon enough it'll be all the back to school things on this list!

Summer ....so far!

 

Well! This summer has been B U S Y! And I'm not even sure what we've been doing? I think its just nice to be on a much simpler routine. Taking a break from the hustle and bustle of the school year. As you all know this past school year was a doozy! Unfortunately, the weather this summer has been pretty crappy. It's either been crazy humid, raining or chilly. No in between but mostly raining! YUCK! But! We are making the best of it!

This past weekend we celebrated Logan turning 9! I took ZERO pictures of the party. Just as we got everything set up I said to my brothers girlfriend Nicole "I've gotta take some pictures" and then I never did. And then we got hit with a crazy thunder and lightening storm and we just made the best of it! All in all, it was a great day! Our first party post covid and it was so good to see our family and friends. They got to finally meet Smith, we got to meet the newest addition to the McCaul family, Kaylee. Best of all, Logan had the best day! He thanked me over and over again. That's all much better than pictures! 

The one picture I did get was of Logan with his traditional birthday donut! Years ago we started this tradtion of getting donuts and singing happy birthday first thing in the morning! The kids love it!

And! I can't finish this post without talking about how we kicked off our summer! We had not one but TWO graduates this year! Kamryn graduated 5th grade and is off to middle school and Kensington graduated kindergarten!! Mama cried, a lot! LOL! Both were in one day. It was a day full of emotions! But so much fun! We finished the day off with a cookout here at the house with all those we love the most.
