DUKE

 

A little over a month overdue post but without further adieu.....

Welcome to the Sircus Duke Henry Sass!

Back on March 14th we surprised the kids with our newest addition, a beautiful 8 week old Golden Retriever puppy, Duke! He is the sweetest and we love having him as a part of our family. The kids have learned really quickly just how much work a puppy is but have all been great pitching in and making sure he's nice and tuckered out by bedtime. 

It's been a little bit of an adjustment getting the other animals used to a puppy but I do think we've finally turned a corner. Gretzky, as most of you know, is 14...but he's done great tolerating a puppy. We make sure he gets plenty of attention. As for the cats...Rory is the type of cat who keeps to herself anyways so she's continued that and Poppy, our social butterfly, really enjoys torturing playing chase with Duke. I've never known a cat who enjoys being chased, but Poppy is definitely that cat. 5 kids, 4 pets, yes it really is the Sass Sircus over here! Wouldn't have it any other way! :)

I haven't posted here in forever but it didn't feel right for Duke not to have his own post. Even if he's been with us for 5 weeks already. You forget just how fast puppies grow! We're truly enjoying every minute. I've got a feeling it's gonna be a great summer with Duke.
