"I can sit up on my own…with my boppy!"

We have hit a milestone! Miss Kamryn Alexis can now sit up using her boppy for support!! The other night she also sat up on her own…leaning way forward of course but she nonetheless she did it! Mike and I cannot believe how fast time is flying by, next week she will be 5 months old! Wasn’t it just yesterday I found out I was pregnant?? Oh thats right, that was just over a year ago. How fast this past year went by I cannot even begin to explain. So many wonderful things have happened for us. I feel so unbelievable blessed!

Kamryn has a love/hate relationship with her cereal. She loves it, if you can possibly get enough in her mouth for her to taste it. Most of it ends up on her face. She has not mastered eating with a spoon yet but she’s getting there. If only she would stop fussing so much and eat!! We are going to the doctors next week so hopefully she is getting enough and has put on some weight. I will post again after the appointment for the 5 month shots and weight check.

Cereal and Babysitting

Yesterday was Kamryn’s 4 month check up! She is now 12 lbs and is 25 inches long. She is not gaining weight exactly how she is supposed to, she dropped down in between the 10th and 25th percentile. So because of this she is now going to have cereal 2 times a day. (Another reason for the cereal two times a day is because out of nowhere she has started getting up in the middle of the night and the doctor says she’s wanting more than just her bottle.) Today was day one of cereal! We mixed it with some apple sauce to make it a little sweeter and she loved it. I love to watch her facial expressions like “what is this?!?!” I swear I was lucky if half of it got in her mouth because she pushed it all out with her tongue. LOL Soon enough I’m sure she will get the hang of it!

As for me I am back to work, well if you can call going to watch the Maroney’s work! (It’s too much fun to be work) Some of you may not know this but about 2 years ago I began nannying for a family that lives in Rockland. At the time they had Kevin, who was 2 years old and Jill was pregnant with Erin. Unfortunately about a year and a half ago Craig (Jill’s husband) was laid off from his job and therefore I was laid off from watching the kids. But FINALLY Craig is back to work and so am I! I watch the kids on Monday and Friday afternoons and best part is Kamryn gets to tag along! The kids are so good with her, especially Kevin! Kevin is the sweetest 4 year old you would ever meet! Who loves everything to do with cars, trucks, planes, helicopters..you name it! He is all boy! Erin is 20 months old, a wild woman..but so much fun! She is all over the place, constantly falling over and loves to get dirty! Not a girly girl to say the least, but still has her baby dolls and carriage, we all have that motherly instinct I guess! I definitely have my hands full but am so lucky at how well all 3 (Kevin, Erin and Kam) are adjusting to the change!
