This is long overdue but oh well…

Here is our new kitchen floor!!

Our first “big project” was re-doing our kitchen floor. It took awhile because of everyone’s work schedules but after 3 LONG weeks it was finished! Mike, his Dad, my brother Zack, my Dad and I worked so hard to get this done. We decided we wanted to go with a little different design and are glad we did. We are so happy with the results!

This next picture is SO embarrassing…this is the mess I was left with for 3 weeks!!! I hate living in a “construction zone”!!! The clutter and disorganization drives me CRAZY!! We couldn’t step on the tile so everything, including our fridge that you can’t see in this picture, was in this room! It drove me crazy but we are back to normal. This room was our next project..I will post pictures of that in a later post. Probably after our new furniture get delivered. So far its coming out AWESOME!!

How Does It Happen So Fast?

I am feeling extra sentimental today and I cannot believe how fast Kamryn has grown.

This first picture was only 1 year ago!!

And here she is today…our big goof ball!!

Kamryn seems to learn a new word everyday!

2 days ago she started saying “cracker” but she says “crackah” — she already the Boston accent. Good girl!!!

And yesterday she said “really??” And hasn’t stopped every time I say something to her!

She used to always just wave, backwards of course, for “buh-bye” and now she says it!

It is too cute, I just LOVE her little voice!!

I could go on and on with all of her words but these are the most recent additions to her vocabulary.

I can’t wait to see what new word(s) she comes out with today!!

Our Crazy Busy Life

I have really been slacking on updating the blog. The wedding is coming SO fast and it seems whenever we get a moment to relax we just crash. We have been working really hard on the house and I have been so crazy busy with the last minute wedding stuff. I often ask Mike “Why did we think it was a good idea to buy a house and get married only 3 months apart?” Our life has been crazy!! In the past 2 1/2 years we moved in together, got a puppy, found out we were having a baby, tried to move to a 2 family home and that didn’t happen, Kamryn came into the world while still in our 1 bedroom apartment, we moved into a bigger apartment, got engaged, began the crazy wedding planning, bought a new car, then decided to throw in the stressful task of buying a house, found a house and purchased it, moved in, now we are doing lots and lots of updates and trying to make it a home, and we will be married in just under a month. And don’t let me forget all of the everyday life stresses along with all of those big events. And Why do I feel like our lives aren’t going to slow down after the wedding? Oh well, I personally wouldn’t have it any other way. Mike and I are closer than ever and I don’t think our relationship has ever been so strong. As I think back on these 2 1/2 years I realize everything that has happened in our lives is a blessing. I am constantly reminded that the saying “Everything happens for a reason.” is 100% true!

Kamryn is doing great! She is now 17 1/2 months old and this is such a fun age! She is starting to talk and has the funniest personality. We are beginning to see a smidge of the “terrible twos” but only every once in a while. She sure knows how to throw a temper tantrum if she doesn’t get her way. For the most part she is extremely happy. She keeps us smiling and laughing every single day. We are enjoying summer so far. Kamryn got a new kiddie pool and she absolutely LOVES it!
