Thanksgiving 2012

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving! We started the day by watching the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade…Kamryn loved it! Then we made the looong (just kidding) 20 minute drive to my Uncle’s house and for the first time since I was 7 we spent Thanksgiving with my Dad! My Dad is amazing, in 19 years he has never once asked, complained, or blinked an eye that my brother and I spent all the holidays (except Christmas Eve) with my Mom. So this year we changed things up a bit and decided to spend it with my Dad and Dee. We missed my Mom, Mike’s Dad and those sides of the family but we are trying to equally split our time with all the grandparents and this was the first step. We had a great day….it was a lot of fun, the kids were awesome and the food was delicious!! There was so much food! We were so stuffed that we practically had to roll ourselves out of there! I’m already looking forward to next year!!

Logan is 3 months old

I really should be doing this more often so I remember how big he was at what age….but of course, its hard to find the time. But here it goes…

14 lbs 4 oz and 26.5 inches long!!

Logan, you are getting so big…its hard to believe that you are already 3 (actually 3.5) months old! 

How is time going by so fast?!? I can hardly believe he will be eating rice cereal in just a couple weeks.

Also, just a side note..we have been referred to a specialist to see if Logan needs to wear a corrective helmet to help his head form correctly. It’s very very flat in the back and no matter how much tummy time and play time in his bumbo seat & exersaucer we do it doesn’t seem to be getting any better. I am waiting to hear back about a consult appointment but I will keep you all updated. We are hoping he won’t need the helmet and the specialist tells us it will correct itself over time but if not we will definitely do what we have to do. Wish us luck!!

Halloween 2012 *Mickey and Minnie*

I wish I had some epic story about Halloween this year but in all actuality it was a complete let down. We really thought this would be the year that Kamryn would get into it. We talked it up all month and she seemed really excited about it. She loved wearing her costume but the whole trick or treating thing she could’ve done without. I don’t know if its just not her cup of tea or what but she only went to 4 houses and then wanted to come home. She hasn’t even asked for her candy that she got … I rarely let her have candy anyways so maybe thats why? Logan only made it to 2 houses before he had a complete meltdown because he hated his costume. 

I guess Halloween is not a favorite holiday for the Sass family … Mom isn’t complaining … and neither is the dentist!

They did look cute though …
