Logan is Seven

Happy 7th Birthday to our Logan Michael

I remember when we went in for our BIG ultrasound when I was pregnant with him and I couldn't wait for that technician to tell me it was a girl and when she said it was a boy I sat there in shock. I just never pictured myself with a son. I went home and for days, months even, just could not wrap my head around it. And then the second he was born and they placed him in my arms I was hooked. The mother/son bond is something that no one will ever understand until they experience it for themselves. Logan Michael is my everything...and I think it's pretty safe to say I'm his everything too. That is until he gets a wife. He likes to tell me often how he'll make sure his wife is best friends with me and his sisters...I might have to hold him to that! HA! God knew exactly what he was doing when he blessed us with Logan. Ahhh! I cannot imagine a life without Logan. How could I have been so dumb?

We love you so so much! Seven is sure to be a very special year.

Happy Birthday Bubby!

Baby # 5

Goodness gracious, I love him so much already! 😍

I am 19 weeks today and man I am so happy to be just about halfway through. I always look at 20 weeks on as a countdown. Let it be known, I’m extremely thankful for this pregnancy but I am just over being pregnant. From the scare with the blood clots, to being EXTREMELY sick, now I’m constantly exhausted, but can’t sleep and my feet and ankles are blowing up every day from the heat. I’m also finding myself really really anxious about the pregnancy in general. Every appointment and ultrasound I find myself very nervous and I’m just ready to feel better in all the ways. We’ve got awhile to go until Fall but more than ever I can’t wait for the temps to get more comfortable. Doing really anything out of the ordinary these days is a lot for me. And of course, we are extremely busy all summer long...so that’s that! I think it’s a combination of the weather, my age and it being my 5th pregnancy.

A lot of people keep asking us about names and we’ve gotten some mixed feedback. Most people love what we have chosen (right now we are down to two names. I love one and Mike loves another.) but we’ve also gotten some funny looks. So I’ve told Mike that from here on out the name is a secret until he gets here. I just don’t want others opinions (or faces) to sway us from using a name we truly love. So, you’ll all just have to wait til he gets here! Andddd I know what you’re all thinking “Kristen, you’re just going to change your mind anyways.” And while yes, that may be true...boy names are also much easier for me than girl names. Logan was named at this point and we never looked back! And I’ve stuck to the same name for this baby since the day I found out he was a boy so! I think I’m pretty certain...but again, it’s a secret!

That’s it for today! I’m not feeling very well and think I’m coming down with something so I’m going to go throw some laundry in and then take it easy. As easy as I can with 4 rambunctious needy kids! ☺️

Happy 4th 2019

Happy Monday!

Phew! I'm still recovering from the 4th. I'm currently 18 weeks pregnant and the heat has been KILLING ME! I end pretty much every night with swollen feet and ankles. Par for the course I guess, but still, not fun. As per usual we hit the ground running on the 4th and did not stop until our heads hit the pillow late that night.

Happy Birthday, America!

First stop, the annual Adams Shore parade.

The kids had so much fun! They love to participate year after year.

And below you will find my new favorite picture of Kensington Bree <3

3 cute girls just enjoying the festivities!

Then it was down to the beach..

The kids had so much fun! Tenley is our little daredevil...surprise surprise and just kept going as deep into that water until she was practically under. Then she'd go under and Mike would pull her to the shore and she'd do it all over again! NO FEAR! Oh Tenley James....

Back to the house for a cookout...

And of course, we ended the night up by the seawall for the fireworks.

I realized that night as we were driving home that this is the FOURTEENTH 4th of July Mike and I have celebrated together. How are we that old?!? How do we now have 4 almost 5 kids?!? Things sure are different today than they were fourteen years ago and I wouldn't change a single thing! Time sure does fly when you're having fun!!

We hope you all had a happy, fun and safe 4th! It's truly the best day of the year!
